A curb weight of 6,000 or more. More like 7,000 for a crew cab. Means less tail wagging the dog when towing.
Much more braking power. Yes, your trailer will have brakes. If everything works correctly. In the event of an electrical fault in the trailer brakes, truck brakes must save you.
Stiffer axles. Results in less sway, more stability.
Stiffer suspension. Results in less sway.
Better tires and wheels with higher load capacity.
Higher transmission capacity, including better cooling while towing.
Better engine cooling capacity.
Just generally a higher tow rating, giving you a plush margin of safety.
