SuperCrew 4x4 157" 5.0L V8 8200 lbs. 2330 lbs. ‡
**Is a 5.0L V8 enough to get me up and down the mountains?
SuperCrew 4x4 157" 6.2L V8 7700 lbs. 1730 lbs.
** Towing capacity is probably too low on this one
SuperCrew 4x4 157" 3.5L EcoBoost V6 8200 lbs. 2310 lbs. *‡
** V6 probably won't cut it.
I just noticed something. What you call tow rating is GVWR. Tow ratings for all three of the above is over 11000 pounds. An 8200 pounds GVWR F-150 would be acceptable as it will weigh closer to 6000 pounds, so 2200 pounds or payload for mid trim XLT/FX4.
If you don't want a truck at all, why get one? Why not rent a motorhome for example?
