Is this enough truck?

Power wagons are not the best towing platform. They were setup as factory off road vehicles for little boys with too much money wanting factory setup. Get a standard 2500 and depending on configuration you would be good for either trailer

Well that's a little harsh and not really necessary. Considering the power wagon is only about a 50-60 thousand dollar truck. Lots of people put a lot more than that in to their aftermarket parts for off road vehicles

The power wagon may not be a tow-made vehicle, but it still has a big trans cooler and a great gear ratio for towing. It may be a purpose built truck, but you can still tow just fine with it.

Agree. Power Wagons are a 'throwback' model meant for fun. They were sort of RAM's answer to the Ford F150 Raptor. Fine capacity for fun but not really meant to be a workhorse.

With just you alone and a few items inside the truck and in the bed either will work for you. With just you I would add 1000lbs to the dry weight. So for the bigger trailer that puts you at 9300lbs with a loaded tongue weight of 1150 lbs. with a WD hitch you will be at max GVWR but under the axle weights. The Power Wagon can handle being maxed out.

And yes, the Power wagon is the best factory made off-roader available next to a Wranglet Rubicon. The Ford Raptor is more for dune running where the Power Wagon is more for crawling.

I think you will be just fine.

Good to hear from someone from UCLA (Upper Corner of Lower Alabama). The 32 ft. TT is best and can be done. You have to remember to add your weight and any friend you invite as well as all your camping gear, and there will
be some.

Love that Power Wagon, they did a great job with it, but you're right, it does lose some tow capacity.

Have you considered a Ram 2500 6.4L Tradesman package? I think it is the most truck for the least amount of money. Many of them are already equipped with the off-road protection package, etc. Now it won't be loaded with the fancy stuff, but give it consideration, as it will do all you ask of it, and at a really good value, plus with 4.10 gears a 10,000 lb GVW rating.

For $10K+ savings, you could wrap the entire truck in camo, and buy whatever wheels and tires you wanted, and still tow comfortably.

Not enough truck at all. You'll be over loaded with minimal supplies and people in the truck.

The Power Wagon has the same chassis and drivetrain as a regular HD truck, the only difference is the suspension and tires. As long as you stayed within the tire ratings you could throw bags or timbrens on it to supplement the softer suspension and it would be good for way more than 1470 lbs of carrying capacity. Power Wagons are cool trucks and I think they're right there with the Rubicon Wrangler's in terms of factory offroad performance, but they aren't set up to tow heavy from the factory. But even without supplementing the rear suspension it would probably handle either of those trailers fine - at it's core the Power Wagon is a heavy duty truck, not a pimped out half ton like the Raptor.

That's not much. My 2015 Tahoe SUV has1,595 payload. 2016 Tahoes are over 1,700. Ram is wimpy.

I'm thinking you will run out of payload with the truck and trailer. What year powerwagon? Trailer #1 would be a beast for that truck and more than likely too big. If you set on keeping the powerwagon I would go with trailer #2. If you are by yourself the extra length won't really be missed and it's a little lighter and probably a little easier to tow/stop.
