It's probably a good camper so that doesn't mean don't buy it. Just don't buy it for more than it's worth. All campers leak, that's just how it is. I bought a new Travel Lite thinking a new one wouldn't leak. But it did. And it was junk. So just see if he's willing to sell it for a better price and look it over good for water damage.
Buying a used camper not local to you is a challenge if you don't know the camper. You could drive a long way to find out its junk when you get there. I'd look at craigslist though, so you can search surrounding areas to you.
You might be able to use a SRW, but you won't be happy for long and will want that dually for a TC that size.
