An Army 5 ton truck only has 240 HP and a top speed around 65 (supposedly) and will pull a 5 ton trailer while carrying a full load in the bed, all day long for weeks on end. I have been in multi vehicle convoys through the Mohave, over the Rockies in CO and never a problem.
HP does not mean it cannot carry and pull.
