I considered an Isuzu NPR as a tow vehicle for a bumper pull to the point of talking to a dealer. I thought the idea of a heavy frame, commercial engine, Aisin transmission, short turning radius and an extra 14 ft. box were appealing. The dealer said no. He said I would be "that guy" going up the hill at 40 mph. The seat cushions are thin and back rest adjustments are minimal and then there was the noise. He said my wife would hate it. They are commercial rigs with few creature comforts. MPG around town is good but not so much for long haul. The price was OK as I was looking at pre-emissions trucks. The dealer said after treatment on those trucks added $12k.
