Those army convoys around here can't seem to pull a hill without leaving one or 2 behind....while the rest of the convoy does about 35mph!

Do yourself and everyone behind you cussing you out up a hill on a 2 lane road and don't buy the most anemic truck money can buy!

An Army 5 ton truck only has 240 HP and a top speed around 65 (supposedly) and will pull a 5 ton trailer while carrying a full load in the bed, all day long for weeks on end. I have been in multi vehicle convoys through the Mohave, over the Rockies in CO and never a problem.

HP does not mean it cannot carry and pull.

This would concern me as well. The other thing I read about them is the ride is uncomfortable and noisy.

Lol ok the mileage is disappointing but I get 7 with my v10. It's probably not a wise decision and ultimately the wife would shoot it down. Sometimes I like to be the odd one.

Owners report an average around 10mpg loaded or not.
