I have never seen a tire that is shreaded worse than that one.... I'm glad that you and your wife are OK.
The airbag tubing is nothing in comparison.
I know that you checked the air pressure in your tires before you left home... and you maintain your equipment...
So it must have been a road hazard... did you ever see it... It's a good thing that it didn't get one of the front tires.
I hope that you got to your Dads for Xmas... you can start the recovery tomorrow.
How is your wifes foot... hope it didn't get hurt worse.
