It IS a good question and I'm hoping someone will post some comments on this. I know on my skidsteer the only thing I've noticed is if you put the chains on inside out, the hooks for the cross-links can dig into the sidewall that way. But I was not under the impression that the chains can damage the tires (e.g. the steel belts etc.) at least when dirving on snow packed roads. But would like to hear from someone who knows better!
