Just an update
In Jan 2013 I filed a claim with Toyo for the damages to my truck. Les Schwab was helpful in filing it. In May Toyo denied the claim saying the tire was damaged by being driven in a run flat condition.. like I could stop on a dime and would not pay to have my truck repaired.
Today I received a recall notice from Toyo per NHTSA that my Opencountry HT in the 285/75R16 size have been recalled for a Manufacturing Defect in the belt that causes the tread to separate and the tire to fail catastrophically.
Guess who I am calling first thing Monday morning
