- spacedoutbobExplorerBuzzcut, I'm really glad to hear you are okay, and that is the extent of the damage and nobody got hurt.
Bob in Calif. - tktplzExplorerWow, glad your OK Buzz. Be careful out there.....
- DesertboyExplorerIs that the truck you had snow chains on at Yosemite a few weeks ago? Just curious, Can they damage tires? I don't have much experience with chains.
- Camper_Jeff___KNomad IIIThere is a new Schwab TOYO tire at bottom of list with a 3750 SRW weight rating. Those will be my next tires. We currently have the ones rated at 3415 SRW. Our OE Tire was the one rated at 3042 SRW and it developed bulges on the sidewall. Our current upgrade tires are working flawlessly with 4 years on them.

I was wondering too and almost asked before I saw it. Not that there is any statistical significance, but I went back and forth between Toyo and Hankook this time around and bought Hankook. I feel way better knowing those were Toyos :) (I'm kidding) and I'm just as stupid not catching the SIZE of them. From the picture I thought they looked like 19.5's and ajcal's were 19.5s...doh!
- EugarpsExplorerBuzzcut1,
Wow! I'm sure glad you all are okay after that one. Just don't let the tire shop charge you for tire disposal. It's already shredded! :W

Thread's two-and-a-half pages long and nobody's asked what brand the blown tire was-?
Is brandwars a verboten subject here in the TCers Forum, or are you guys just more polite than some folks that post elsewhere here at RV.net? ;)

I had my rear driver side blow on I-40 doing 65 and pulling my cargo trailer. A scary slip sliding stop for sure. Cost $3,900 for the chevy dealer to repair the bed side.
