Its Here!!!

So after a 3 month wait the truck has finally arived!!! Picked it up on Wednesday and have been trying to pile on 1000 miles so I can hook it up for next weekend.

The drive is great and the ride is much better than I expected with the HD payload pkg. Door sticker payload is 2580lbs !!! More than I was hopping for. Will be posting more pics after I get the step bars on it.

I'll miss the old reliable Yukon but it's staying in the family so we can visit;)

    I don't know about the 150# driver (they arn't talking about me;) but thats what the door jam sticker says. It's a 2wd too.

    I am not a Ford guy at all, with exception of the Mustang and F-150's. Your's is one of the nicest I have seen, congrats.

    So, based on the GVWR and payload, you are saying the truck weighs only 5620 lbs with options and a 150lb driver(I think that is what they configure that sticker with. That just doesn't seem right for a crew cab 4x4. Looks great!

    Very sharp looking!!! There's nothing like a 150HD!!!! Dodge and Chevy can't even come close!!!

    Very nice truck!!!! I sure love my new HD!!!! You will love how it tows, ours pulls our trailer like a dream. Congrats!!!!!!!!!

    A question: I assume you went to a Ford store, sat down with a sales rep. and spec'd out what you wanted to buy. Is that how you made sure you got the 8200 lb gvw package? I have played around with the build n' price tool on Ford's website and have never seen payload options offered, only powertrain options. Even looking at local dealer inventories, there's nothing I see on the Monroney stickers that indicate towing/payload capabilities of the truck, either as built or as an option or special order.


    Go back to the build and price. If you want a crew it must have 6.5 box. If you want a ext cab it must have 8' box. Now select the 3.73 with limited slip diff. On the next screen you will see the payload package is applied. My salesman had no idea what i was talking about so your best to kind of know what to ask for.

    As a side note. You cannot bling out this pkg as you can with the others. Im ok with that
    If you choose the eco boost you will also get the max tow as part of the pkg.


    You can get the Lariat that is pretty well loaded with the 8,200 package. But they always have to be ordered. Locating a non work truck 8,200 package on the lot is unheard of.
