I'm guessing the valve floated due to me not lashing them like I should have. But what has me astonished, is there was no damage. I would expect at least the pushrod to be bent, beat up valve stem or rocker or worse, the pushrod finding it's way into the lifter bore, and past the cam lobe. That would have been catastrophic. Nothing. Nada. Inspected everything and reassembled. Probably will be out again this weekend.

It's an old one. It looks a lot better at a distance. Needs a lot of work to bring it back to it's former glory.
