Which begs the question : Is there any new car today that will not have recalls,or is this the "new" normal?
I certainly don't remember this happening in the 60's & 70's. But way back then you bought a new car, drove it for 30 days and then returned to the dealer with a list of repairs needed.
The funny thing is if just one run of those 60's or 70's cars came off the production line today, there would probably be 500 recalls on it.
Sign of the times. Automobiles and safety regulations have advanced significantly since those times.
Good Point. I think you are right about 500 recalls. The quality of cars back then left a lot to be desired. Sort of like the quality of RV's today.
Like computers, back then there, there were NO recalls, because recalls were not "invented" yet!
