Obviously people are going recommend what they own, I have had three Chevy diesel trucks over the last 11 years. My 2009 2500HD has had no issues, it was turned into a drag truck at 5 years old with about 630 hp. This is with a stock motor and turbo. We drag raced the truck for about three years at that horsepower level and went to the NHRA division 6 championship two years in a row. Still have the truck and it runs great.
My 2013 2500HD was used for my business and also to trailer the 2009 on a 30’ gooseneck trailer to races as far as Idaho, trailer with the truck loaded and all our racing gear was about 14,000lbs. It towed this set up very comfortably with plenty of go and stop. The only issue with it was a DEF tank replacement under warranty.
I just sold the 2013 for $28,000 and upgraded to a 2019 2500HD about 6 months ago, it had a leaking headlight assembly when I purchased it replaced under warranty. I have a 3000 lb commercial cap on it and it drives like it isn’t even there.
