I have 4x8 blocks cut from a used beam I bought at a lumber resale store.

Grainger, McMaster-Carr, Amazon, Global, etc. Mine were scrap pieces from a nearby plastic fabricator. Many pallets are now made of plastic also, that are discarded when they break.

Lowes, Home Depot, etc. all have plastic lumber also, same thing. Fairly expensive to buy but if you find a guy that builds decks he'll probably give you a bunch of cutoffs.
