The saga still continues. According to the Lemon Law attorney here in Florida, there are no laws that protect consumers from defective or "lemon" non-motorized RVs. They were certainly willing to pursue negotiating some sort of resolution at $450/hr. We are back to working with Jayco to get this taken care of. The frame was manufactured by Norco. Jayco finally agreed to get Norco involved. Norco has delivered a new front frame portion to the dealer where our RV has been sitting since October. They will send a crew to make the frame repairs. I suppose once that is done, some time in March, Jayco will then go on to fix the non-frame related damage. I am still very disappointed in the way this whole thing has been handled. Jayco has made absolutely no efforts to try and make us feel cared for and even remotely interested in ever purchasing another Jayco product. This has been perhaps one of the most disappointing product failure issues I have ever had the opportunity to experience. Jayco gets a poor grade on this one. Not only did we experience a very nerve-racking failure on a very busy freeway, we have been without our new RV for over four months, making payments, and having to live in a vacation rental rather than our new RV. The costs associated with this ordeal have been significant and continue to affect us. We are still in a vacation rental here in Florida at a significantly higher cost than our RV in a very nice resort would cost. I still do not believe that Jayco can do whatever they want or don't want to do, at their own leisure, with absolutely no recourse or accountability from their customer. We feel very taken advantage of. No one at Jayco has given any indication that this is not a "business as usual" situation. What is it about this that makes them feel so unresolved to take care of us?
