THAT is a beautiful camper and I love the how they put the bed in the slideout and added the wardrobe on the 2014. But did I read right...on the 2014 the specs say it's 39' (vs 33' in the 2013), 8,500 lb plus dry weight (vs just under 8,000 for the 2013...at least the one we saw) and a dry tongue weight of 1,140 lb (vs 920 for 2013)?
We looked real hard at a 2013 (I think it was a 2013) last year at the Indianapolis RV show. We were really impressed with it...in fact we went back three times before we left the show. Well built, really nice fit and finish. The one we looked at had electric stabalizers, two recliners, free standing table, and the popup entertainment center. The only drawback we found was there wasn't much outside storage (just the pass through), but there's a TON of inside storage and from slideout to slideout it's almost as wide as out living room at home.
Really, really nice unit. Congratulations!
Thanks Wayne, Yes it is 39' long and just a wisker over 40' with the Hensley Arrow installed. I guess the model numbers are losing their meanings..... As was already mentioned it does have a decent amount of outside storage and with everything from the old unit loaded up inside we still have 1.5 empty cabinets above the kitchen sink, one under bench storage box at the dinette empty, all the rear entertainment cabinets empty, one side of the over sofa cabinets empty and nothing at all in the entire pantry. Lots and lots of room here!
I looked closer at your pictures after I said that about outside storage space and I see now they made significant improvements over the 2013 in that department.
It appears the extra 6' (or so) over the 2013 was added in the bedroom and maybe a little in the bathroom. That and the bigger slideout probably accounts for the additional TW and dry weight.
I'm not too concerned about either of those because the TW on my HD hitch is 1,500 lbs without a WD hitch and the truck has a GCVWR of 24,000lbs...more than enough if this is the one we end up with. When I bought my new TV I was actually thinking of this camper (or something like it).
Setting here thinking about it, the length seems a little intimidating (ours is 30' coupler to bumper), but I think I could get used to it.
Be sure to come back let us know how it pulls.
