Great truck, but Sergio is not smart enough to allow it to be produced. He would rather focus his efforts on trying to convince everyone that the US needs Alfa Romeos.
No, it is a teaser like the other concepts shown by FCA. I cannot see it being very popular outside NA, even then it will be a niche. Sergio is still looking for a partner for FCA, to make the business grow - Fast_MoparExplorer

I like this a lot, just the way it is in the video. Those 40 inch tires give it a good look and they sure give good ground clearance.
I recall the old Kaiser Jeep trucks. Yep I'm that old. :B This truck sure has some nice old Kaiser Jeep, styling cues.
Original ones ran the Willys (I believe) OHC inline, gas six and I think a nice engine in this would be a version of a Cummins 4B, the 4 banger used in a lot of city delivery trucks. Torquey, would be good for off road, etc. Might be short enough to squeeze in.
Probably though the best deal would be the 3.6 as it comes and as the OP sez, a Hemi V8. I don't know how much room there is under the hood for a new hemi though, as this one off, is based on Wrangler architecture with a stretched frame.
Someone has already put a hemi in a Wrangler so it should fit, check out you tub for one.
Yep, Dave Smith in Idaho sells a Slingshot Wrangler with a 6.4 Hemi. - RobertRyanExplorer

Your quite probably correct.
I'm not surprised. When I think of it, one of the most popular engine swaps in the Jeep Wrangler and it's forebears, over the years, has been the Chevy small block V8 and I think lately, the Chevy LS series V8. Dimensions probably aren't all that different between these V8's , so a Hemi probably would fit.
But really for this kind of vehicle...that looks like it would proceed almost through or over any terrain, I think a 4 cylinder Cummins 4B diesel, would be most appealing to tradional off road types. All that low end grunt.
Can get the Cherokee SRT Model with the 6.4 Hemi in Australia.Unfortunately Jeep as a whole have sales going backwards here.

The 8 lug wheels give it away as a heavy vehicle. Until they mentioned the engine I assumed it was either a Hemi or a Cummins. But then again, it's a concept vehicle, if it were in production I'm sure it would have a powerplant better suited to the size of the vehicle.
- CampingN_C_ExplorerThese guys are way ahead of them, been building them for years in Boone, NC.
- dodge_guyExplorer IILooks like an IH pick up! I like it. they've been kicking around the idea of a Jeep pick up for years. its about time they go ahead and build it.
