^ No, but it does mean it will be the consummate turd up every hill and maybe even down a few!
Those army convoys around here can't seem to pull a hill without leaving one or 2 behind....while the rest of the convoy does about 35mph!
Do yourself and everyone behind you cussing you out up a hill on a 2 lane road and don't buy the most anemic truck money can buy!
LOL you have never driven a Army 5 ton have you. I guarantee I would be on your bumper all the way up and down Snoqualmie with you pulling your load and me pulling mine. A convoys speed has no relation to the trucks capabilities.
AS for the NPR Izuzu trucks Wiki lists them sold by Chevy as "simply the Chevrolet 3500, 4500, or 5500" with 8.4 liter Diesel engine available. Again, it sounds like some versions of the Isuzu will eat your truck for lunch when it comes to pulling. You would then be the slow poke on the hill.
Depends on what Isuzu you use. They do make MDT/ HDT trucks, but these are not available in the US. I notice Isuzu does have a MDT flatbed in the US, with the smaller 5.2 Diesel,
Larger diesels have disappeared from the Isuzu lineup in the US
NPR is the base Isuzu Truck with a 5.2 Diesel
Isuzu FTR MDT with a very small 5.2 Diesel. Outside US this would have a 9.8 Diesel and vastly more capability
