Jeep Patriot
A family member thinking of buying a Jeep Patriot. Any experiences, ownership ? Option suggestions ?

I hope that the new purchase treats them well.
When you are talking about a 14' - 16' Lund weighing in at 1000 - 1200 pounds, I assume you are talking about an older, basic jon boat style? You are probably correct about that weight, and the Patriot would be adequate.
Kind of something like this?
The newer Lunds, with a larger motor and console will be closer to 2000 - 2500. Not sure I would want to tow mine very far with a Patriot.
