Just like happens in the Tech forum, some get mired down in the tiny details of Solar. Then start talking amongst yourselves. You might notice that the OP has already purchased a “KIT.” So he might be interested in just installing and getting acquainted with what he has paid for, without spending more money. I suspect Eric has read many of the threads already and made a decision to Jump into Solar to get his feet wet. For some us that have gotten into solar, we certainly recognize the value of going in steps. I suspect the OP would be interested in the variables if he had asked; “Is this Kit, on Amazon, a good one to get or should I consider something else?”
Hopefully Eric is sitting back, enjoying one of those terrific meals he prepares and sipping away on a cold one and watching you guys.
While there are certainly plusses and gains going with a Kit. As well as compromises in the individual parts contained in one. All things considered, have a great time installing your first Solar Installation. My suggestion (with your wife interested in Sat Dish/TVs) is to verify your cables and wires so they will support future expansion. Everything else is going to work fine, for limited power demands. Go fish, my friend. Let your new solar do all the heavy lifting while you are paddling.
