Well, you are getting a lot of good advice but the problem is, you have to determine how it fits your needs.
Generators, solar panels, multiple batteries, all give you more power, but only you can determine how much you require based on the stuff you bring. Batteries can only supply so much power; generators need gas, solar need sunlight. Off the grid requires a considerable amount of forethought and planning.
For example I have a single deep discharge battery, my DW and I can get buy for about 3 day without electric, providing we use the 12 volt lights judiciously. However we cannot use the microwave, television, AC or any 120 volt outlets. We have to switch the fridge and hot water heater to propane. Basically we are tent camping in a tin tent.
Even at home, if I leave my TT unplugged the phantom loads of the various electrical devices will run the battery down in 7 to 10 days.
