Just ordered a 2013 F150!

Well I finally decided and bit the bullet, ordering a 2013 F150 with the 3.5 EcoBoost engine, and the 3.55 diff. I got a 4x2 SuperCab and ordered it with the Tow Package, Tow Mirrors and Trailer Brake Controller.

It's a factory order so it will be the beginning of September before I pick it up, but needless to say, I am excited to get back into Trailer Towing!

Ford had awesome discounts - over $13,000 off MSRP, so I could not resist.

  • What size gas tank does it have? I heard a rumor Ford went with the 36 gallon tank now on 2X4's instead of the 26 gallon one.
  • I'm surprised you went with a 4x2 up here in Canada as I don't think I've seen a new F150 without 4 wheel drive around here other than fleet vehicles.

That being said, the F150 is a great vehicle and I'm sure you'l enjoy it.
  • You ordered exactly what I would. If you care to share the dealer and the deal that would be great, or pm me, as I'm in your area and could be in the market soon. Congrats on you new truck!
  • Nice truck, good luck! Ford incentives and rebates are applied at the time the final paperwork is signed and not the time of order. They have a tendency to change month to month this time of year.

You should clarify with your salesman, but I believe all orders are now for 2014 model year. Typical changeover is in the beginning of July. That would change the incentives/rebates.

Congrats on the new to be truck!

Not to sound rude but the guy must know what his incentives are and the year of the truck he ordered?? :h

And for your info we can still order 2013 F-series trucks for 2 more weeks (in Canada anyway)

    To the OP.
You WILL be happy when you first hook up and tow.
Amazing how a small displacement engine dishes out all that torque..

  • Congrats!

I bet it'll be quite a performer, with the Eco's low RPM torque and the fact that you went 2wd & SuperCab, which saves significant weight over a 4x4 crew cab.
  • Congratulations. I bought one last month and received similar discounts. What kind of trailer do you plan on towing?
