Thanks for all the input. I think it's becoming clearer. The thing I didn't like about adding an extra leaf to my Class C is it did sit higher than level at the back and I had to ramp level it every time we camped ... that was a PITA.
Explorer1016 - thanks for the heads up on the bearings, rings etc. wear issue.
Kerry495 - great pic and nice set-up. I don't want an elevated rear end when light loaded either which is how I drive most of the time.
Bedlam - thanks for detailing what's in a Camper Pack ... it confirms that it is what I have. I also like the idea of the StableLoads uppers and lowers
Reddog1 - I'm starting to think airbags might be the solution with the StableLoads
VintageRacer - the truck is all purpose and relatively lightly used. Heaviest use is when carrying the TC. Truck is about 7100 lbs. loaded with fuel. TC is 2500 lbs. No lectures or GVWR calculations please ... I know the arithmetic. I just want to make it safer and better handling.
SugarHillCTD - thanks for sharing your experiences.
I also like the idea of a new Hellwig anti-sway bar on the rear. This will be one of the last things I do. BTW - I have stock aluminum rims with new Michelin LTX M&S II tires (Load Range E).
So I'm thinking an airbag system on the rear (or do you need fronts too?) with upper and lower Stableloads at the rear to engage what's already there sooner. Later, a HD Hellwig anti-sway bar. Does that sound right? or are the StableLoads redundant with the airbags?
