Sorry Terry but that's simply is not true. Lots of options are added at the dealership and maybe they adjust the yellow sticker and maybe they don't. The list of available options on most trailers is at least a page or two long. Some options like batteries, propane tanks, awnings, upgraded AC units etc., are only added as buyer requested options and are installed at time of delivery. Some buyers want to 6 volt batteries, some opt for 30#(or larger), LP tanks the weight of which is not reflected in any dry weight.
My original point is that there is no consistency throughout the industry so the consumer does not know upon what those dry numbers are based. What the tailer weighed when it rolled off the assembly line is irrelevant, like asking what you weighed when you were born. It will never be that weight ever again so who cares? :h
If the dealer adds options as part of the sale and the combined weight exceeds about 100lbs legally they are required to add updated dry weight and CCC stickers, so added awnings, etc. ARE included if the dealer complies with federal regulations, Period.
When we bought our keystone, the brochure dry weight, yellow sticker dry weight and my weight at the scales off the lot were all within 25lbs of each other, yellow sticker and scale might have even been closer, but scale had a 50lb weight increment.
