Hmm interesting, maybe I am one of the few who has used them for years with no problems. Being said I got one in the Camry but not yet in the current truck(air filter new when bought from GM). Pulled my intake on my wife's previous Lexus SUV, to help change the plugs,no dirt found after 65k plus miles since install. Funny though because of the pre inspection purchase on my used GMC 2500hd, the GM mechanic stated that it had the "high capacity" air filter from GM and replace it with such when replacement time comes. I like the KN series because of no changes just cleanings, never noticed any mpg increase or decrease in that matter. Never had a over oiling problem either, or white powder. So I am torn in a way about the current truck getting one in the near future. I looked intake cold air intake systems but have not seen any really positive comments on them either.
