I do like foam filters on my off-road equipment. I did make the mistake of using some of the K&N oil on an old IT bike tho. It didn't seem to hurt it at first, then it sat with a busted kickstarter for a couple years and next I looked, the foam disintgrated when I touched it. Whoops.
I would still prefer paper over foam if dirt bikes did not need cleaning after just a few minutes sometimes. I'm not a fan of K&N and consider them a scam in that they work to a marginal extent but are overly represented as suitable for all purposes. Marketing I guess.
