May I suggest a stove top percolator. I buy wrap around paper filters from Amazon. No mess! Excellent coffee....it perks for 7 minutes. No plastic...no tubing....no pouring hot liquid in plastic. For your health, I suggest one stainless steel stove top percolator that will heat beautifully on a gas stove.
I miss my stainless percolator. Two years ago (while I still had the TT) I got the hankerin' for a mid-morning cup of coffee. Not wanting to do a whole new pot, I simply put the percolator with the mornings' leftover coffee on the stove top to give it a quick warm-up. Went outside and got distracted (for about an hour!). When I went back into the trailer, it had boiled dry and pretty much melted down!!! When I bought the TC, I bought an aero-press as it is small and light and came with very good reviews. After a bit of a learning curve, it will make a pretty good cup of coffee, but I miss my percolator.
I am having a hard time finding a good quality stainless percolator. They all seem to be really flimsy and VERY expensive. Anybody point me to a good quality stainless percolator? I do not mind spending the $$ if I can find a good quality unit.
Regards,
Jeff
