Great points on all, and yes, getting a class 4 or 5 truck would be the best idea, but that would make using it as a daily commuter even more ridiculous than it is now! That would mean buying another vehicle for daily use, which we will probably at some point, but for now I'm thinking about limping along with the 3500. Sounds like the Kelderman deal may not be the answer though. I may just go back to the idea I had before of just adding a couple more leafs to the single factory overload and then using the existing Firestone bags I have and add a compressor (had the WirelessAir system in there and it never worked properly, so I just ended up tossing it and putting in a couple of schrader valves.)
I thought about their "2-stage" system for mine like what you have, but then I lose my SuperHitch, which won't work.
I'm thinking the 3500 will get me by with just the camper for a few years, then we can upgrade, probably to a Ram 5500, when we get ready to start towing things again. Kodiak is cool, but just too tall for what we want.
