I upgraded to tubular cam locks on a previous TT. Bought them from Industrial Lock and Hardware There are different cam lengths, offsets and hole diameters that you need to know before ordering. Excellent service. They called me in the evening on the same day I ordered them to confirm I had the right specs. I removed them before selling our TT and kept them. Available for someone if interested. Our new TT came with slam latches.
Cam style locks have been used on compartment doors in Canada Post community mail boxes for years. Mail theft has been rampant for years because they've been so easy to pry open. They've recently finally replaced the entire mail boxes with ones with waaay better locks. I never understood why they used the same easy to break into cam locks like on an RV. Our box got broken into many times and we had to make sure we picked up our mail daily.
