Our 31BHPR came with the the shower surround unsealed at the bottom as well. Thats just the way they come from the factory, sealed at the top and open at the bottom. The tub has a lip that extends up behind the surround that keeps any water from the bottom getting behind the tub and down into the frame area.
All that said, I still had the dealer seal the bottom AND run another bead along the top. I just felt better about that and the dealer didn't seem to disagree with me on this. A couple other things to look out for are the valences over the windows had some exposed screws that were very sharp, so we had them fix those and there were also some sharp tacks sticking up out of the edge of the carpet in the kitchen area slideout. Those were hammered down. One of the LED lights on the rear were out.
We just received our carefree colorado slide out covers. I found those on sale and after having on our last camper figured it was prolly a good idea.
I think we may be planning our maiden voyage for next weekend.
