mayts welcome to this group. I'm new here also. We just bought our first TT, the Bullet 28RLPR. We also had a popup for 15 years and had our three kids all over the country in it, we loved every minute of it. Amazing now that they are all grown, we're moving up to the TT! Now that I'm older I wanted more comforts of home!
I saw a few of your model TT online from $36K to $26K. The $36K had full paint and more (light fixtures for instance are upgraded on those) worth more than $4-6K or more over the regular premiers. That model is also a fairly new model so not sure how the dealer will want to handle that. Also if you are in Calif. the dealers may not have this urge to dump their inventory before the winter months. Here in Iowa we only have a few more weeks at most to comfortably camp locally before spring (most have officially closed for the season or they will in the next few weeks). Do you know the MSRP? Some say the most you can get down is 30% less than that, 15% is standard. I know the difference between West and East coast prices are amazing.
With your two kids I think they'd have a great time in the big space in the "family room" area. What are you planning for sleeping space for them? Have you seen the floor plans of other Bullets, specifically those with the bunkhouse area?
The reason I wanted the premier was only because of the hide-abed in case one of our older kids will join us plus the dinette makes into a bed.
What do you have to tow it with? We just went to the St. Louis Fall RV expo and saw hundreds. A great way to make sure you like the floor plan and how its made. All the dealers we have talked to told us to get something you feel you'd grow into and not want to trade up to in a few years. You do loose some investment value doing that.
Not sure I answered anything for you, mostly just wanted to say welcome. We lived in the Thousand Oaks areas for a few years. We did tent camping then for years. Great places to go! Enjoy!
PS: We will pick ours up this Thursday! Feel free to PM.
