Campgrounds throughout IA close Oct. 1, some Oct. 15, private a little later but we've other commitments the next few weeks which won't allow us anymore outings, so sad!
The struts appear to be fairly heavy duty but still won't hold the mattress and topper up when you raise them. Other TT's I've seen have them and at the demonstration they seem to work but from other post I've read on the internet they have the same issue, won't hold! I think by the time we add the weight of the mattress, mattress topper, mattress pad, sheets, comforter, and spread, it just won't hold it up LOL I've also read where people remove the mattress and replace with air mattress and keep the other items and sleep well, thats less weight for the struts and that may work.
Are you familiar with struts and how the weight limit works? Maybe I need some super duty heavy ones but then probably thicker plywood. There's probably a reason they weren't put on our TT's to begin with!
