What I've discovered on the Premier is that the plywood under the mattress is cut short and thinner than what was used in our last trailer with struts. I guess it's to save weight. I was going to install struts but after looking at it, I just cut a narrow length of wood and use it as a prop. It's much better than using my head to hold the mattress up--which is what I was doing before :B.
The only things I keep under there are an extra 30A extension cord, extra fresh water hose, and the kids' life jackets and swim toys.
