Don't think anyone has addressed this yet. I am certainly not in the know on this subject but I'll tell you what we have for our TT. You can do a search and compare it to the option you have available at your dealer. Learn why you need them and how they work. I know people have installed these things themselves but its beyond me so I had the dealer install what he sold and we've been very happy with it on the ONE trip we had with our TT last fall when we first bought it! So again, not advising this just sharing what we have for you to compare. We have installed the Reese Dual Cam High Performance Sway Control 26002 with Trunnion Style Weight Distributing Kit.
I don't think it matters if you tow it a short or long distance but something you definitely need with this size trailer. I've read good things about all of these. Mostly it's just another shocker expense to add to the fun of getting on the road and being safe!
