Some owners of that model may have in their signature what they are using to tow.
We have the 28RLPR which is slightly smaller. We had Ford Expedition which pulled fine on flat land. We drove it first time home in 40 mph gust which was a horrible experience. Not enough car to feel safe. It didn't have enough power to comfortably get over a few hills in flat driving Iowa. Note it's not that the expedition couldn't have done it but it was to much strain IMHO on the car, would probably have worn the poor engine out before to long.
This is the TT model we wanted, no more no less. We upgraded to F250 Diesel. We use a Reese Dual Cam High Performance Sway Control 26002 with Trunnion Style Weight Distributing Kit. Works great. It's more than just being able to pull it up the hills, its everything a truck like that can offer me as a driver to have better control over the TT. From braking, sway control (yes we have a sway bar), wheel base length and so on. For years camping we've always ended up in mountains somewhere flyfishing and hiking and knew we needed something with more power to get us there. We're glad we upgraded.
