When the dealer changed my steps, I told them to just give me the steps and I would put them on, they said they would be wider and would have to cut and weld so I let them do it. the 3 step set is, I'm estimating here, about 3 inches wider than the 2 step ones. They had to cut the original brackets off the frame and weld new ones on and they cut the sheet metal under pinning, or whatever you want to call it, to accomodate the wider steps.
They told me the same thing, all 3 step sets are wider than the 2 step ones that come on our TT. I've never searched for any myself that are the same width, there might be some out there somewhere...
