That's awesome. One thing about putting velcro only on the corners is that there will be a gap along the sides and bugs could potentially get in that way. If you put the velcro in strips all around the edge, it would be overkill in terms of holding strength but it provide a tight barrier. You should be able to buy hook & loop (velcro) fasteners by the roll.
