That sounds like a better idea if the plexiglass will clear the overhead light as it swings open......
Thats what Im worried about. Once I get out to the storage lot later this week I will have a more warm and fuzzy about what Im going to do, but I will keep the hinges in mind, since I already have a few small ones in the garage.
Instead of hinges, you could also frame the outside of the plexiglas and leave the right side of the frame open to allow you to slide the plexigals to the right. Kind of like a closet door. On a side note, you could use some thin sheet wood or high density cardboard instead of the plexiglas to keep it as close to the factory look as possible.
