After I had the issue with my 30A internal C/B tripping this weekend I thought about my generator. It is a 6800 running watt, 8550 starting watt unit. I went to the storage lot and hooked up to my 20A output and turned on my A/C, both fridges (outside set to 7 again in inside set to a little above halfway again), turned on both tv's, the radio, all my lights, plugged in my party lights, and ran a fan and was still only @ 55% output on my generator. And that was on a 20A circuit! So, now my question is, would a weak shore hook up cause my INTERNAL 30A C/B to trip? If not then why would it trip a 30A 110V shore power and not my 110V 20A generator? The only thing that was not on today that was on this weekend was the hot water heater. However, even with that I dont see it drawing 45% more of my generator's power. Anyone smart on TT wiring please feel free to chime in.
