So my outdoor kitchen strut came loose again. The dealer "fixed" it under warranty the first time, I'm going to FIX it this time. I always thought it was attached with screws but it was riveted into a thin piece of metal (maybe that was the dealer's fix).
I went to the local hardware store and got a piece of aluminum angle about 12" long. i'm going to screw and nut the strut bracket to the angle and use screws and nuts to attach the angle to the backside of the door frame, I figure that will hold it for good. I'll post pics of the finished repair this weekend if anyone wants to see what I did...if anyone else has had the problem...
