Was it just the middle part that you had to pry off on the back or the entire back wooden part?
The entire wood panel, then there is another wood panel with a hole cut out for the jacks. There are pictures of what mine looked like on page 91 that will probably make sense of what I am trying to say. I would link it but I'm on my phone and it's a pain from here.
