A couple of nights around 30ish and then day highs in the 60's. The low temperature this early sort of caught us off guard. Maybe it won't be that cold long enough each night to cause issues. It's at a seasonal site about 3 hours away so we can't get there until this weekend. We always turn the water off and loosen the hose connection. We keep the electric on for the fridge.
So tell me more about this idea of leaving the heat on. If we undid the water hose connection outside completely, leave the water in the pipes as we would any other time between camp visits, and then set the heat to come on somewhere above freezing that would protect the plumbing inside? How warm do you think it would need to be inside to keep the pipes from freezing. If this help extends the length of camping we can do that would be nice. Guess its that time of year for these discussions!
