We are camping too! Last night of our 10 day vacation to New Mexico. The only issue we have had is the fan on the AC runs with the heater. I know I have read others that have had this issues. DH just cut the breaker to the AC unit for this week. Does anyone have a solution?
We have loved ours this week. We have a small ceramic heater we use instead of the furnace with the furnace for back up if it gets below 60. This has streached our bottles and keep us toasty at night.
Only issues we have had with the bunkhouse is the mounting bracket to the front door gas strutt two screws sheered off leaving it dangling. DH removed it. We like it better where the door opens more. The other issue is the trunnel frame. It is junk. When we get home I think we will toss the frame and just use the mattress. We are talking about replacing it with a J or studio couch that folds out to a bed, and can be stored on another bunk or used as more seating.
We spent 7 days just of the Enchanted Loop in Northern New Mexico at a wonderul little campground called Sierra Bonito. This was our 4th and longest stay there. They are very friendly and we couldn't do all we wanted in the time we had there are so many things to do in the area. It isn't fancy or new, but clean and friendly.
