A campground near us does a seasonal "Winter Wonderland" from Nov 1 to Mar 31. I was toying with the idea. Only thing not available is water but the camper will be winterized anyway.
A lot of people leave there camper in there seasonal spots over winter at our place and even though the campground is officially closed and the gates are chained you can still walk into the campground and get into your rig. Many people will go there on snow days and the kids will sled ride on the hills in the campground then head back to the camper for heat and some hot chocolate. As long as you have propane and a battery and its all good :)
It sounds fun, and tempting. This place remains open and there is electricity and cable. They will, upon request and a small fee, turn your heat on 1 hour prior to your arrival to warm up your camper, shovel your spot, and leave some firewood. The bathrooms and lodge is open as well. I think it would allow you to dread winter a little less!
