I simply cut a couple of 2x4's six inchs and added a flat 1x4" on the flat side and stick them under the back of the chair and the floor. This way the chairs don't go back into the "dentist chair" position LOL! I hope it will also help keep the rear corner of the chair out of the side window screens as I already had to pull the screen tight and re-bead it.
I think I get it! Get a picture someday and post. We may have to try this next season. I turned the chair upside down once to see if there was an adjustment to the springs on how much to let it go back but didn't see anything. Honest, didn't take much time looking as we were cleaning to leave. Might be something that I overlooked.
The "reclining" is nice though when we put our feet up on the stools. Not sure if you saw in one of my post the square block stool we have, faux brown leather, lid comes off to store things inside or turn lid over and use as a tray. Comes in extremely handy and doesn't take up much room. A decorator essential ;)
Sounds like we have the same thing with the foot stool. I took a picture of my chair stopper. I found a 2x4 on end was too much and laid flat was too little. Adding the 1x4 seemed to do the trick.
