NETANDDAVID,
Does anybody have any experience using the heater to know how long a 20 bottle of propane will last?
Last year a 20lb tank lasted us about 1 weekend for 2 nights of heating and 2 daya of cooking. I only ran heat in the evening but I kept it warm around 70-72.
This year I've only used a 1500w heater pointed to the bunks and it's kept the entire trailer warm without having to use any propane at all. I'm still using the same 20lb tank I started with in the spring.
Keep in mind though that with the heater at full, we trip the circuit box much more often if we aren't careful. We turn the heater off if we need to use the microwave and use ga for hot water instead of electricity.
Thanks for the info. Since our TT is the shorter one we should be fine with the radiant heater and a little supplemental using the furnace. I want to make sure there are no freezing issues with plumbing. We are also planning to use our camper for a trade show in middle Tennessee 2nd week of December. It could be in the 40's at night or it could be in the low teens. Last year it was 11 degrees when we were loading out Sunday night and an ice storm closed a lot of roads. Don't want the pipes or holding tanks to freeze!
