Perhaps if only one person is using the are as a bed, I could try moving the back seat cushion to the middle and then the puffy back ones could be placed on the opposite sides and not as noticeable? I'll give that a try.
To protect the table, I'd originally thought about buying a sheet of plywood to put in the place of the table, but that would have to be pretty thick and therefore heavy, maybe not such a great idea. I wonder if I could find something the same diameter as the table pillars - shorter of course - and put them under the table just to give it more support.
