Keystone passport 2520

We are scared, and confused as to which lightweight TT is better made and will hold up with good are. We need less than 5,000 lbs. We are considering a KEYSTONE Passport 2520RL TT. This has one slide. Our greatest fear are leaks .PLEASE send any feedback if you have owned one or have better recommendations !! Thank you!

I don't know how you can say Lance is superior to Arctic Fox? AF's chassis is far superior (much thicker, welded instead of bolted, built in house and independently certified), they have a higher R-value, more premium features, and offer more floor plans. Lance doesn't even have a flat floor slide. Any "4 season" feature offered by Lance is bested by what's offered from Arctic Fox.
  • We bought a 2010 Keystone Passport used a little over a year ago, and we've been very pleased with us. We looked at a lot of used trailers, and this one seemed to have held up much better than most of the others. No major problems yet (knock wood).
  • We looked at the Passport 2520, but then looked at the same floorplan in the Coachmen Apex, Coachmen Apex 250RL, and we liked it better. Also, the Apex can be ordered with a tri-fold couch, which isn't available in the Passport. Since we have occasional guests, this is important to us. We're considering this model in the future.
  • I have a Keystone and LOVE IT. No faults yet that we have encountered. Best of luck on whatever you choose.

  • Having had two of the Keystone Passport's cousins (Keystone Springdale and Keystone Outback), I've have good success with both my campers. Of course, we don't abuse them either and I'm constantly on top of repairs and inspections.

I've not heard very many negative things about the Passport, any of it's brothers or sisters (model numbers), but if it will help, Keystone has a forum. I became a member of it years ago, done lots of reading, but virtually no posting, as my "favorite" is RV.net!

Still it's a good place to snoop around if you're looking for real users: Keystone RV Forums - click here.

The "Prospective Owners" folder may also help.
  • We have and passport 23RB and love it. It has a slideout which has been worry free. I did get the extra canopy for the top to keep out leaves and sticks. Just don't overdrive the unit and make sure there are no obstructions in the movement path. As with all new purchases, check it out before you take delivery.
